'Kind of bizarre': All the housewives that have fallen victim to RHOBH's divorce 'streak'

Since the very first seas of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the show has seen the marriages of its stars come to an end. It's a trend that even Erika Jayne, who joined the series in season 6 and was divorced from her husband in 2020, said that it's "kind of bizarre" how many divorces have struck the show.

"“I think that any time you put a marriage on television in a reality TV show setting, certainly the cracks are going to show," Erika told Us Weekly and although there's no doubt that the pressure of being followed by cameras can put a strain on a marriage, it seems like the pressure of reality TV is higher for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast and their husbands.

1. Erika Jayne & Tom Girardi

Erika Jayne called the series of divorces that have plagued RHOBH "bizarre" but explained that the stress of the show puts a lot of strain on a marriage. She might be the best cast member to share the stress of reality TV on a divorce because her divorce from Tom Girardi, who is 33 years her senior, was one of the most shocking. She filed for divorce in 2020, alleging infidelity, but in the years following their divorce, Tom was indicted on federal fraud charges.

2. Camille & Kelsey Grammer

Camille and Kelsey Grammer were the first RHOBH couple to get divorced with their marriage of over a decade coming to an end on the first season. Camille ended their marriage when she discovered that Kelsey was having an affair with his now-girlfriend, Kayte, and the two have had some serious bad blood ever since then. Kelsey Grammer called her "pathetic" for talking so much about him.

3. Teddi Mellencamp & Edwin Arroyave

Teddi Mellencamp is the latest RHOBH cast member to file for divorce and it's messy. The announcement of her divorce from Edwin Arroyave came suddenly with Teddi saying she wanted to get ahead of the rumors to protect her children but shortly after the news broke, rumors started to swirl that the source of her divorce was allegedly an affair with her married horse trainer.

4. Taylor & Russell Armstrong

Taylor and Russell Armstrong might have the most tragic divorce story of all the RHOBH cast members. The second pair to break up while on the show, their marriage issues were clear from the first season but Taylor didn't file for divorce until 2011. The divorce announcement also brought to light accusations that Russell was physically abusive and he took his own life a month after Taylor filed for divorce.

5. Kyle Richards & Mauricio Umansky

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky aren't actually divorced yet, but the two of them publicly announced their separation in July 2023 and their breakup has been a real rollercoaster since then. Although the two aren't ready to take the next step in their breakup yet, Kyle has already had romance rumors swirling. She's been linked to country star Morgan Wade and recently opened up about her "evolving sexuality."

6. Adrienne Maloof & Paul Nassif

Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassif's messy divorce actually indirectly lead to Adrienne being removed from the series. The two split in season 3, which was no surprise to viewers since the pair's marriage issues and fighting were a big part of her storyline while on the show, but she skipped the season 3 reunion in order to avoid having to answer questions about her divorce. According to TMZ, leaving the show was part of an agreement in her divorce that she and Paul would avoid talking about each other.

7. Carlton & David Gebbia

Carlton Gebbia, who only appeared on season 4 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, wasn't divorced until after she left the show. This witchy housewife's steamy marriage to her husband and their scandalous mansion was a big part of her storyline on the show, but even she couldn't avoid the divorce streak that has been hitting everyone on the show and the two of them split in 2018.

8. Dorit & PK Kemsley

Dorit and PK (Paul) Kemsley were married in 2015 and announced in 2024 that the two of them had separated, but they've been fairly hush-hush about what broke up their marriage since then and have been on good terms since then. The pair spent Halloween 2024 together and in their joint divorce announcement, the two of them said that their marriage had been subject to a lot of speculation over the years and they were going to try to reevaluate their relationship privately in order to protect their children.

9. Yolanda Hadid & David Foster

Although Yolanda Hadid's daughters, Bella and Gigi, are famous models in their own right, Bravo fans know her best for being in seasons three through six of RHOBH. Her relationship with husband David Foster was a big part of her storyline while on the show but ultimately, she fell victim to RHOBH's unusual divorce streak and their divorce was finalized in 2017, a year after it was filed.

10. Marisa & David Zanuck

Marisa Zanuck, a friend of the housewives on season 3 of the series, was divorced from her husband shortly after her short time on the reality series. While on the show, she admitted that he hadn't actually wanted her to be part of the show, even in her small role on the series, and their marriage issues were a big part of her minimal storyline on the show, so the fact that she and her husband called it quits after the cameras left is no surprise.
