Teddi Mellencamp, who appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from seasons 8 through 13 as a main housewife and as a guest star, has filed for divorce from her husband Edwin Arroyave after 13 years of marriage.
She announced her divorce on Saturday, November 2 via her Instagram account in a simple statement in which she shared that she didn't want to make a public statement, but chose to get ahead of any rumors in order to "protect [her] family from undue speculation and rumors."
The pair were married in 2011 and share three children together as well as one child from Arroyave's previous marriage. According to an interview Teddi Mellencamp gave to Yahoo Lifestyle in 2019, the pair first met at a nightclub and never would have expected that their encounter that night would lead to a long-term relationship together.
"I thought after that night that that was just one of those … a story that you tell your girlfriends," she recalled in the interview with Yahoo Lifestyle. And that wasn't the only time that the former RHOBH star shared the unconventional start to her marriage to now-ex Edwin Arroyave.
"I assumed after one crazy night after a nightclub meeting we would never meet again. This is us then and throughout the last 10 years...We have become the very best of friends, traveled the world, built huge businesses, created a beautiful family and life that I am beyond proud of," she shared in a caption on her Instagram account in 2018.
Although there hasn't been a reason shared for Teddi and Edwin's divorce, she's far from the only RHOBH cast member or alum to announce a split from her spouse. Several other members from the same cast, including Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky and Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi are also in the list of RHOBH cast members to get divorced after appearing on the series.
