Bravo has been pretty hush-hush about the next season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills following the tumultuous 14th season that ended without a traditional reunion special due to the drama among the cast. Andy Cohen said that it will be at least a year before they share anything about the future of the show, but a Bravo insider is claiming that Bravo already had some big plans for the show in the works.

A Bravo insider claims the network had a whole new cast for The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 15

OK! exclusively reported that an insider claimed that Bravo cast an entire reboot for season 15 of RHONJ but ultimately decided to put the show on pause without announcing the reboot just yet.

This rumor hasn't been confirmed by Bravo yet, but considering they recently rebooted The Real Housewives of New York City and announced a reboot for Vanderpump Rules, it definitely seems like there could be some truth to this rumor.

The source told OK! magazine, "When Season 14 wrapped, Bravo decided to pursue taking the show in a new direction. Bravo offered a group of new, younger women positions to be on the show."

If what this insider is claiming is true, it sounds like they were planning to give The Real Housewives of New Jersey the same treatment they're giving Vanderpump Rules. Both of those shows have been on Bravo for several years, so it wasn't a big surprise to fans when they announced that a whole new cast of SURvers would be coming in for Vanderpump Rules in a change that Lisa Vanderpump called "new and refreshing."

"Bravo ended up not being sure what direction they wanted to take the show in, so they put the new women on pause, as well as the old women," the insider told OK! and said that the network has still not made a decision yet as to what they're planning to do. They told the publication that as of right now, there are no plans to make any decisions until at least December 2025, at which point they may move forward with the new cast, bring back the old cast, or give the show a cast shakeup with a mixture of both.

Considering the backlash from fans and the original cast members that The Real Housewives of New York City has gotten, it's no surprise that Bravo might be a little on the fence about how to move forward with the show and hesitant to make the same mistake again.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast members react to the lack of news about the show's future

It's not just Bravo fans that have no idea what's going on with RHONJ, members of the cast have shared that they've been left completely in the dark about what to expect from the show's future too.

Dolores Catania shared her disappointment in her co-stars for the fact that they haven't been promised a 15th season yet. She shared that she knew when the 14th season was wrapping that they weren't going to be coming back on their usual schedule and said that she's "a little mad" about the fact that the toxicity put the show's future on the line.

"Of course, I'd look forward to seeing my cast come back on the screen or even come back to film, but they made a mess. I'm a little mad that everybody couldn't get it together. I really am," Dolores Catania said and said she feels like the cast has "lost something" over the years, so it's not a surprise to her that Bravo is thinking about what to do with the show.

Similarly, Melissa Gorga shared her disappointment in the fact that Andy Cohen said there wouldn't be news about the future of the show until late in 2025 at the soonest.

"That’s a really long time. Even if I’m a part of it or not a part, that’s a really long time," Melissa Gorga said and said she doesn't think that fully rebooting the show with a brand new cast, as the insider speaking to OK! claimed was the plan, is the best idea for the future of the show either. She went on to say, "I feel like they need to keep a couple of familiar faces, if you ask me."

If Andy Cohen was right and Bravo isn't planning to make any decisions about the show for a year, fans are going to have a long time to wait before they find out whether or not this rumor is true.

In the meantime, the first 14 seasons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey are available to stream on Peacock.
