Recently, Andy Cohen said that The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans need to "stop asking" when they're going to hear any news about what the next season of the show has in store because it's going to be at least a year before Bravo announces anything.

This news was disappointing for fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but it sounds like no one is more disappointed by this news than Sprinkle by MG owner and RHONJ star Melissa Gorga.

Melissa Gorga thinks Bravo is making a mistake taking so long to announce anything

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Melissa Gorga said she thinks Bravo needs to share some kind of update on the casting soon instead of taking a year to announce anything.

According to Melissa, the only way that waiting so long to announce anything to do with the next season makes sense is if Bravo decides to do a full reboot of the cast, which is definitely one of the rumors that's been swirling around the show.

"Why? That’s a really long time. Even if I’m a part of it or not a part, that’s a really long time," Melissa Gorga said about the fact that Andy Cohen said that it's going to be at least 2026 before there's any updates on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. According to Melissa, a reboot isn't in Bravo's best interest either and she thinks that at least a couple familiar faces should come along for the next season, even if there's a casting shakeup.

"We have to have news before then," Melissa told ET and said that she thinks that if the network waits until 2026, they'll struggle to keep any of the existing RHONJ cast members on board for next season.

Melissa Gorga went on to say that although she could understand a full cast reboot taking time, she thinks that's the wrong choice and that Bravo should keep at least some of the existing RHONJ cast members. She said, "Unless they were fully recasting so need that much time to figure that out. Which I don’t know, I feel like they need to keep a couple of familiar faces, if you ask me."

Unfortunately, Melissa Gorga said she's as in the dark about what Bravo is going to do with the show as viewers are, but she could see it going "so many different ways."

A source claims the RHONJ cast is "panicking" about the lack of news

Melissa Gorga is reportedly not the only RHONJ cast member that's not happy with the lack of news about the show. According to an anonymous source speaking to InTouch Weekly, the cast is reportedly "panicking" about the lack of updates from the network about what they're going to do with the show.

"There is a little bit of panic across the board because they haven’t been told anything yet," the insider reportedly told InTouch Weekly. Considering the fact that Melissa Gorga, Dokores Catania, and Jackie Goldschneider have all admitted that Bravo hasn't told them anything about the next season yet, this isn't a surprise.

The source went on to say, "There’s absolutely no news. Bravo has been quiet for months and everyone is still waiting to hear if their contract is going to be renewed or not."

Since the rift between Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice made the last season so toxic that Bravo decided to forego the reunion special, it's likely that they're struggling to figure out how to move forward with the same cast.

With shows like The Real Housewives of Dubai recently being put on pause and The Real Housewives of New York and Vanderpump Rules being rebooted entirely, it's understandable that the cast might be concerned that their time at Bravo may be coming to an end.

Unfortunately for fans and the stars of the show alike, if Andy Cohen was telling the truth, it's going to be a long year without news about The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
