While The Real Housewives of New Jersey's future is still up in the air following a tumultuous 14th season, Melissa Gorga has expanded her resume by starting a brand new business: Sprinkle by MG. And while Melissa Gorga is celebrating her new brand, RHONJ fans can't stop talking about Teresa Giudice.

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Melissa Gorga talked about her brand new cookie line, Sprinkle by MG, and shared the fact that this brand has been "a long time coming" for her.

"Everyone knows sprinkle cookies are my absolute favorite," Melissa Gorga told Us Weekly, referring back to the "iconic" scene in an early season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey that sparked a major feud with her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, over a box of sprinkle cookies.

According to Melissa, every time she meets fans, they bring her a box of her favorite cookies as a reference to the unforgettable scene between her and Teresa, one of many heated moments in their relationship throughout the course of RHONJ that lead to the rift in their relationship now.

She told Us Weekly that she spent about two years trying to find the perfect recipe for her cookies and find a sprinkle cookie that would have customers returning to her business again and again to buy her favorite cookies. She told the publication, "So, there’s been a lot of work, and back and forth, creating the perfect cookie -- and we definitely have it now."

"I’m excited for everyone to be able to bring these to Christmas Eve and parties and share my sprinkle cookies," Melissa Gorga told Us Weekly, referring back to the scene in which she had brought a box of cookies to Teresa Giudice's house for Christmas Eve, only to have them thrown away.

Why are RHONJ fans calling this a dig at Teresa?

Even though this is a big moment for Melissa Gorga, many fans can't help but make the same connections back to the RHONJ scene that Melissa referenced where Teresa Giudice had thrown away a box of sprinkle cookies.

According to some fans on social media, deciding to launch a sprinkle cookie brand -- and referencing the fact that Teresa had disliked them so much -- is yet another dig at her sister-in-law amid their existing problems.

"Melissa never made a cookie ever, that was the beef, Tre's family spent days preparing an Italian Christmas Dinner from scratch. Melissa did not help instead shows up with Supermarket Sprinkle Cookies. They threw them out because they were offended," one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

In 2023, Teresa and her daughter filmed a video for YouTube filming a recipe for homemade sprinkle cookies and said they were better than "those store bought ones,"

Between the fact that Teresa Giudice recently threw some subtle shade at her sister-in-law's cookies and the fact that Melissa referenced so much of the season 3 episode in her announcement and social media announcement for Sprinkle by MG, fans can't help but make the connection and feel like Melissa Gorga is using this brand to try to get under Teresa's skin.
