Even though Kyle Richards said that Morgan Wade wasn't going to be mentioned on this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, it's hard to talk around their friendship this season.
Even Kyle Richards has given some nods to her "evolving sexuality" and acknowledged that "some" of the rumors about them have had some truth, but things were taken to another level when Garcelle Beauvais told Kyle Richards that if it's what she wants, she should just "be a lesbian."
Kyle Richards thinks Garcelle Beauvais was being 'an a--hole' for telling her to 'be a lesbian'
Her connection to Morgan Wade was indirectly brought up in a recent episode of RHOBH when Garcelle Beauvais told Kyle Richards to "be a lesbian" if it's what she wants. The context of the conversation involved Garcelle telling her co-star that she should be authentically herself and forget what other people think about it. She told Kyle, "Do whatever the f--k you want to do. Be whoever you want to be. If you want to be a lesbian, be a lesbian."
Understandably, this comment shocked not just the viewers at home but also Kyle Richards who was sitting in Chuck E. Cheese with her and on the episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show episode alongside Erika Jayne, Kyle Richards reflected on the moment and explained what was going through her mind when Garcelle told her that.
"What was really going through my head was, 'You're being an a--hole right now. And don't try to act like, 'Oopsie daisy,' you know exactly what you're doing,'" Kyle Richards recalled to Erika Jayne on the After Show episode. Meanwhile, Garcelle explained on the After Show that she wasn't trying to force Kyle to come out or saying it as any kind of confrontation, but was just trying to encourage her to be authentic and open about who she is.
On the RHOBH After Show, Garcelle went on to defend her statement by saying, "I feel like Kyle cares a lot about what people think and how this is gonna look. If this is who you are or even if you're discovering it, discover it and own it."
But at this point, Kyle Richards has no room to be upset with her co-stars for prodding into the details of her life. Although it's fair to say that Garcelle had gone too far telling Kyle to "be a lesbian" if it's what she wants to do, she was also just giving Kyle a taste of what she's been giving everyone else on the show for nearly the entire run of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Kyle Richards is no stranger to pushing peoples' boundaries (including about their sexuality)
if Kyle Richards thinks that Garcelle Beauvais knew "what [she's] doing" by telling her to be more open and authentic about what's going on in her life following her separation from Mauricio Umansky, she also needs to re-examine her past behavior on the show.
Over the years, Kyle Richards has gained quite a reputation among RHOBH fans for her habit of pushing the envelope when it comes to forcing other people to share their own personal lives while refusing to give that back herself.
Though she certainly knows how to make good reality TV, Kyle Richards is far from innocent when it comes to bringing things up on camera and pushing and prodding at the personal lives of her co-stars -- and even her sisters, with Kim Richards' sobriety issues being a focal point of her storyline and her feuds with Kyle throughout her time on the show.
But, with Kyle calling Garcelle out for being "an a--hole" with her Chuck E. Cheese callout about potentially coming out of the closet, it's hard not to think back on season 10 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when Kyle was a major part of some drama that involved Denise Richards and Brandi Glanville's alleged affair being exposed on the show, ultimately exposing both of their sexuality.
Unlike the comment Garcelle Beauvais made at Chuck E. Cheese, which was so far a one-time conversation fairly late in the season, Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp spent much of season 10 of RHOBH repeatedly confronting Denise Richards about the rumors that she and Brandi Glanville had been involved together, despite Denise's constant denials and even verbally telling them that she was uncomfortable with their questioning and often inappropriate timing.
Whether Kyle Richards and Morgan Wade are just friends or something more is going on, it's obvious to viewers that she's in the same cycle that she's been in through all of RHOBH.
She wants to be seen with Morgan when she wants it discussed, then she expects the rest of the cast and the viewers to stop the speculation when she doesn't -- but Kyle has never respected the boundaries of her co-stars that she's putting up around herself.
