Bravo recently shared the news that The Real Housewives of Dubai had been put "on pause" and would not be returning for a third season. It seems like this came as a surprise to the cast, since Lesa Milan said that she claims the cast was "100% expecting" a third season, but Caroline Brooks disagrees with that assessment and recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the reasons that the show was put on pause.

From toxicity to issues with her co-stars not sharing their authentic selves, Caroline Brooks spilled some major tea about what lead Bravo to decide to not renew the show for a third season. Plus, she shared whether or not the rumors that the show was going to be rebooted with a brand new cast are true.

Caroline Brooks says The Real Housewives of Dubai was paused because the cast wasn't authentic enough

On January 1, 2025, Caroline Brooks took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her thoughts on the fact that The Real Housewives of Dubai had been put "on pause" and even went as far as to say that Bravo had made the decision to cancel the show.

According to the star of the international franchise, the show was "toxic" as well as being over-produced and that much of the cast were "hiding their true identities." She went on to say that she was grateful to be given the chance to be on a Bravo show, but that she didn't enjoy the way that RHODubai played out in the end because of how much of a facade for the show that the other cast members were putting on.

One fan asked Caroline Brooks if the show was put on pause due to issues with filming in Dubai, which she said was not the case. Islam is the official religion of Dubai and the UAE as a whole, which means that there are some cultural and religious restrictions that people who live there and some of the other Real Housewives franchises definitely showcase some haram behavior, but Caroline Brooks says that RHODubai had no issues filming in Dubai for legal, cultural, or religious reasons.

According to Caroline Brooks, each episode of RHODubai was approved before it was even aired in order to ensure that everything shown in each episode was appropriate and a good representation of Dubai. She said that if they hadn't been approved, the show's filming permits would have been removed way before Bravo chose to put the show on pause.

It seems like Caroline Brooks isn't lying about this, either -- other shows like Netflix's Dubai Bling have no problem filming in the city and likely follow the same restrictions that RHODubai did when it came to having officials watch each episode before it's released.

Taleen Marie and Caroline Brooks take shots at eachother on X

The day after Caroline Brooks explained the reasons behind RHODubai being put on pause, her co-star Taleen Marie took to the same social media app to say that it wasn't just the show that was canceled, but rather that Caroline herself was the one who had been kicked off the air waves.

Caroline first responded directly by accusing Taleen of trying to impress viewers and Bravo producers with her behavior so she can be given another shot at reality TV, but Taleen didn't fire back at this one and Caroline moved on with a new idea for a show that Taleen Marie could join the cast of. Although RHODubai was put on an indefinite hiatus, Caroline Brooks thinks that Taleen Marie would make an excellent addition to The Traitors.

Similarly to her first reply, Caroline Brooks' joke about putting Taleen Marie on The Traitors was full of shade about making her feel like she's famous and giving her a second shot at reality TV. Considering these former besties had such a major falling out, it's no surprise that they're each blaming the other for the show's ending.

Is The Real Housewives of Dubai coming back with a new cast?

The same account that made fans think Brynn Whitfield had announced her departure from The Real Housewives of New York City got fans again when they posted that Andy Cohen had confirmed The Real Housewives of Dubai was coming back with a brand new cast.

The account, which goes by the online handle @Bravfaux -- likely a nod to the fact that they post satirical headlines, shared on January 2, 2025 that Andy Cohen confirmed on his radio show that RHODubai would be exclusively streaming on Peacock for its third season with a brand new cast, a claim that Caroline Brooks quickly shot down with a simple response.

Caroline Brooks' confirmation that it was nothing but a lie wasn't enough for some viewers, though. While some people played along with the claim that they had also heard Andy Cohen's confirmation of the next season, Caroline Brooks took her denial a step further and confirmed that Bravo was taking a full hiatus away from Dubai, meaning that not only would RHODubai not be back, but they weren't going to be replacing it with a new show either.

It's not clear why Bravo won't be filming in Dubai for anything, but from the sounds of Caroline Brooks' post, it's something that will be shared with the public eventually.
