Following the news that The Hills alums Spencer and Heidi Pratt lost their home in the Pacific Palisades wildfire that ravaged Los Angeles, some Bravo fans were urging the two of them to join the cast of a Real Housewives franchise. Unfortunately for the hopeful fans that were looking forward to seeing Speidi back on their TV screens, it doesn't seem like that's going to happen any time soon.
Thanks to a combination of nostalgia and an outpouring of support after Spencer and Heidi Pratt announced they had lost their home in a fire, the two of them have been having a serious pop culture resurgence.
One fan even suggested that Heidi Montag be added to the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but Spencer Pratt responded to the attempt at a fan movement with a simple response on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
no thanks ❤️ https://t.co/C15zgvHfgY

As it turns out, some harsh comments that Andy Cohen once made about Heidi Pratt (nee Montag) are to blame for the fact that the two of them aren't interested in being cast on any Bravo show. After saying that he wasn't interested in appearing on RHOBH, a fan asked if either or both of them would ever be interested in appearing on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen's late night talk show.
The Hills alum gave this a simple response too, with a "hard pass" and seemingly referenced some harsh comments made by Andy Cohen about Heidi Pratt, which lead to fans digging through the Bravo producer and host's past to figure out where this feud started.
the person who said he would rather scratch his eyes out then watch my wife … hard pass ❤️ https://t.co/YaHmuycljh

Back in 2011, Andy Cohen said on an episode of Watch What Happens Live that he thinks Heidi Pratt is "trash" and that he would rather "stab knives into [his] own eyes than see her on this network." Though the host later apologized, it seems like Spencer Pratt isn't quite so willing to "forgive and forget" the slight against his wife.
Over a decade later in 2023, Heidi Pratt speculated that perhaps Andy Cohen had been so harsh on her because he was just a fan of Lauren Conrad, her bestie turned enemy and co-star of The Hills, and said that now that she's an adult and mother, she would be perfect for a Real Housewives cast.
She said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, "Maybe before when I was younger that didn't quite make sense. But I'm 37 now, and as a mama, too, I could easily go on Orange County or Beverly Hills."
Andy Cohen went on his SiriusXM radio show to explain that the real reason he had been against Heidi Pratt joining The Real Housewives was because she had already made such a name for herself on The Hills. He said that he's actually not a big Lauren Conrad fan and that he just felt like it made no sense for someone already so attached to another network to come to Bravo.
It's not clear whether or not Andy Cohen has changed his stance on giving Heidi Pratt a shot on a Bravo show, but it sounds like the couples' minds have been made up about forgiving him for his previous comments.
