While she was on Watch What Happens Live with The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Bronwyn Newport, Julia Fox said that she wanted to be cast on season 16 of RHONY -- and suggested one of her iconic friends that could join the series alongside her.
Julia Fox wants to be cast with Anna Delvey on RHONY
During the episode, the conversation turned to the fact that when Bravo announced that RHONY was getting a full cast reboot, fans were calling for Down the Drain author and Uncut Gems actress to be cast as one of the new housewives on the show.
As fans know, that never came to pass but Julia shared on the episode of WHHL that she thinks she would make a great addition to the cast.
"You know what, I would do a season and see how it goes. I just need to shake it up a little bit," she said on the episode and went on to say that she has a friend who she would love to bring on the show with her who has certainly already made a name for herself in New York City.
Julia Fox suggested that her friend and convicted felon Anna Delvey be cast on season 16 of RHONY alongside her, calling her friend "funny" and an "icon" before she went on to really sell her to Andy Cohen by saying, "She has a very dry sense of humor."
For now, there's no word on whether or not Bravo will take Julia up on her offer to appear on RHONY next season, but even Bronwyn said that the chaos the two of them would bring would make for excellent TV.
Who are Julia Fox and Anna Delvey?
Julia Fox first rose to fame when she appeared in the movie Uncut Gems but went on to gain more mainstream media attention for her relationship with Kanye West. The two dated in 2022 and the pair regularly drew media attention during their public appearances. Julia Fox, who has become known for her avant garde sense of style, was often styled by Kanye in eye-catching outfits.
Even though their whirlwind relationship barely lasted over a month, Julia Fox has definitely made a lasting impression on Hollywood and has become a pop culture staple and was even referenced in Charli XCX's "360" music video as one of the "It" girls in the video.
Meanwhile, the friend that Julia Fox referenced as joining RHONY with her is well-known for more nefarious reasons.
Anna Delvey, whose real name is Anna Sorokin, is a Russian-born convicted felon who rose to prominence within the New York City social scene in the mid-2010s.
She spent her time staying in luxury hotels, attending high-profile events, and mingling in expensive restaurants alongside NYC socialites who believed her to be a German heiress. She managed to avoid footing the bill for her lifestyle by promising to pay later and by showing off forged documents in order to attempt to secure loans.
In 2017, she was arrested after defrauding businesses and people in her social circle out of hundreds of thousands of dollars and she was released from prison in 2021 after being convicted of several financial crimes in 2019.
