The Masked Singer recently named its12th winner when Buffalos was revealed to be R&B group Boyz II Men. Over the years, a number of superstar singers have donned clever costumes and competed on the show, but what are those celebrities doing now that they're done with the series?
1. Season 1: T-Pain (Monster)
On the first season of The Masked Singer, Donny Osmond, uncle of RHOSLC's Britani Bateman's ex-boyfriend, was the runner-up while R&B and hip-hop star T-Pain won. Since winning the first season of The Masked Singer in 2019, T-Pain has continued releasing music with his signature electronic autotuned style and as a video game fans who is reportedly working on GTA VI, the singing superstar also streams on Twitch.
2. Season 2: Wayne Brady (Fox)
Emmy Award-winning actor Wayne Brady won the second season of The Masked Singer while wearing the Fox costume. Since winning the singing show, Wayne Brady has competed on Dancing With the Stars, continued to host the gameshow Let's Make a Deal, and started starring in his very own reality show with the premiere of Wayne Brady: The Family Remix.
3. Season 3: Kandi Burruss (Night Angel)
In 2020, The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta star Kandi Burruss beat out "Beautiful Soul" singer Jesse McCartney to win the third season of The Masked Singer. This was no surprise to fans of Kandi's as she first rose to fame in 1992 when she joined the R&B girl group Xscape, but since winning the singing competition show, she's returned to reality TV on RHOA and her own show, Kandi & The Gang.
4. Season 4: LeAnn Rimes (Sun)
Disguised in the Sun costume, country singer LeAnn Rimes won season 4 of The Masked Singer. This wasn't her first dip into reality TV, though. In 2014, she starred in a shortlived VH1 reality series called LeAnn & Eddie, but it was canceled after a single season. Since winning The Masked Singer, she has returned to her musical roots but has shifted from the country genre to chants and more spiritual music.
5. Season 5: Nick Lachey (Piglet)
Nick Lachey got his start in Hollywood as a singer in the boy band 98 Degrees, but he's become more well-known for his work in reality TV since then. Between his own show, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, with his then-wife Jessica Simpson and the fact that he's hosted Netflix dating shows like Love is Blind since then. But in 2021, he returned to singing to win The Masked Singer in season 5 before going back to being a reality TV host alongside his wife, Vanessa Lachey.
6. Season 6: Jewel (Queen of Hearts)
Jewel has been singing since she was young, getting her musical start in a yodeling duo alongside her father in her home of Alaska, so it was no surprise to her fans when she won season 6 of The Masked Singer. She beat YouTube sensation Todrick Hall while dressed as the Queen of Hearts and since winning, Jewel has continued releasing music and performed alongside Olivia Rodrigo on her Guts World Tour.
7. Season 7: Teyana Taylor (Firefly)
In 2022, mutlihyphenate singer, dancer, and choreographer Teyana Taylor won season 7 of The Masked Singer in the Firefly costume. Following her being crowned the winner of the singing show, she was cast in the upcoming Ryan Murphy series All's Fair alongside Kim Kardashian, Niecy Nash, and Sarah Paulson.
8. Season 8: Amber Riley (Harp)
Amber Riley won Dancing With the Stars in 2013 during season 17 of the dancing competition show, so the fact that the Glee alum returned to reality TV nearly a decade later to win The Masked Singer is pretty impressive, but not surprising. This talented actress and singer announced that she would be releasing her debut album, under her stage name RILEY, and appeared on the song "Waiting" with Omarion from his album, Full Circle: Sonic Book 1.
9. Season 9: Bishop Briggs (Medusa)
In 2023, Bishop Briggs won season 9 of The Masked Singer with David Archuleta, former American Idol contestant and runner-up on his season of that singing competition show, coming in second place behind her. When she won, Bishop Briggs became the first non-American to win and the youngest winner to date and since winning, she's continued making music. Her EP, When Everything Went Dark, was released later in 2023.
10. Season 10: Ne-Yo (Cow)
Ne-Yo rose to fame with the release of his hit single "So Sick" in 2005 and in 2023, he donned the Cow costume to compete in season 10 of The Masked Singer. Since winning the singing competition series, Ne-Yo was cast in the third season of the TV drama BMF, a crime drama produced by rapper 50 Cent that appears on Starz. In BMF, Ne-Yo plays the role of Rodney "Greeny" Green.
11. Season 11: Vanessa Hudgens (Goldfish)
Former Disney star Vanessa Hudgens won the 11th season of The Masked Singer in 2024 in the Goldfish costume. After she won her season of the singing competition show, Vanessa Hudgens gave birth to her first child with her husband, MLB shortstop Cole Tucker. As a new mom and founder of brands like Cali Water and KNOW Beauty, it seems like Vanessa Hudgens has been taking a little break from the spotlight.
12. Season 12: Boyz II Men (Buffalos)
The most recent winners of The Masked Singer are legendary R&B group Boyz II Men. Season 12 of the singing competition series was an R&B showdown with "Let Me Love You" singer Mario as the runner-up. Boyz II Men have been making music together since 1985 and became the very first group to win the competition show when they were crowned the winners in December 2024. Along with their Vegas residency, Boyz II Men have a world tour scheduled for 2025, so it's safe to say they'll continue to perform now that they won the singing competition series.
