Season 29 of The Bachelor has been absolutely flying by. Now, Grant Ellis has chosen his final four and they're headed to hometowns next week.

Grant Ellis "tied the knot" on a one-on-one date

On Grant Ellis' second one-on-one date during the most recent episode of The Bachelor, Grant was exploring Edinburgh with Litia and was asked if he saw himself potentially getting married to his date.

"I definitely think that she's somebody who I could see as my wife and, you know, spending every day with and being happy," Grant said of his date with Litia, a 31 year-old venture capitalist from Wyoming.

From there, the two of them got to take part in a special Celtic tradition in which the two of them had a scarf tied around their hands and tied them together, leading to Grant and Litia joking about the fact that the two of them had "tied the knot" and that the other women competing in the season could "pack it up."

The tradition is known as handfasting and is an ancient Celtic marriage tradition that dates back to about the 12th century.

In those times, handfasting was a legally binding ceremony in which the knots tied in the fabric around the couples' hands represented their commitment to one another. It was done because back then, marriages had to be formally announced a whole month before the wedding, so couples would handfast in order to legally bind their marriage about a month before they would head to the church to get married.

These days, handfasting is used as a symbolic show of commitment and connection to one's spouse and, unlike in medieval times, it's not a legally binding ceremony. So, that means that the other women that are still in the competition for Grant Ellis' heart have a chance and he did not officially "tie the knot" with Litia just yet.

And Grant Ellis has now chosen four of those women to take into hometowns as his final four.

Who is in Grant Ellis' final four?

1. Dina

Dina, 31, is an attorney from Chicago. According to her profile on ABC's website, Dina is surrounded by friends that are married and engaged and she's ready to finally settle down with "mr. right" -- could that be Grant Ellis? The two of them had quite a connection on their one-on-one date earlier in the season.

2. Litia

Litia, 31, is a venture capitalist from Wyoming and is the woman that Grant Ellis already "tied the knot" with during their handfasting on a one-on-one date in Scotland. The two of them have had a connection since her first impression in which she brought a blinged out basketball, so it's likely no surprise to fans that she's made it this far.

3. Juliana

28 year-old Juliana is a client service associate from Massachusetts and according to her profile on ABC's website, she comes from a big family, so she's ready to settle down and start one of her own. Grant and Juliana went on a one-on-one date to a Bridgerton-style ball at a castle in the most recent episode and it definitely showcased a real connection between the pair.

4. Zoe

Despite being involved in some early drama, 27 year-old tech engineer and model Zoe rounds out Grant Ellis' final four. Throughout season 29, Zoe has shown that she has no problem going after what she wants and has taken every chance to shoot her shot with Grant.
