First impressions are huge, especially when you're on a show like The Bachelor and have to compete against so many other women for the heart of the leading man.
When season 29 of The Bachelor started on January 27, the women competing for Grant Ellis' heart were no exception when it came to trying to make a good first impression on him. Although all of them did something clever, creative, and memorable that would quickly show off their personality for Grant Ellis, a select few were absolutely unforgettable.
1. Dina: Told Grant her ring size
When Dina Lupancu, an attorney from Illinois, met Grant Ellis, she got right to the point about her intentions on the show. After introducing herself to Grant, Dina informed him of her ring size, a clever and to-the-point way of making sure that Grant knows she's on The Bachelor to find love and walk away married at the end of the season.
2. Beverly: Had a custom "Mrs. Ellis" sash
Beverly Ortega, an insurance salesperson from New York, introduced herself as someone who almost competed in the Miss Dominican Republic pageant once. After sharing this impressive part of her past and fun fact about herself, she removed the pageant sash and turned it around to reveal that now, she's competing to be Mrs. Ellis.
3. Rose: Asking Grant if he will be the first to "accept this Rose"
It was obvious as soon as Rose Sombke said her name what her first impression would be: a pun on her name. Since Bachelor Nation fans will know how important handing a rose to the prospective contestants on the show is, there's no way Rose could have avoided using her name to make Grant laugh. When she introduced herself, this RN from Idaho asked if Grant would accept the first "Rose" of the night.
4. Litia: Bringing the "sparkle" to Grant's first love
Litia Garr, a venture capitalist from Idaho, used her first impression as a chance to show that she came into the show already knowing something about Grant Ellis. She brought a sparkling basketball and shared that, like Grant, her "first love" was basketball, but she's hoping that the two of them can be each other's last loves. She went on to show him the rhinestone-covered basketball and offered to bring the sparkle if he brings the skill.
5. Alexe: Brought a "no drama llama"
Alexe Godin, a pediatric speech therapist from New Brunswick, gained a ton of attention for the prop she brought to her introduction: a live llama. Since Grant previously said that the last thing he wants is a woman who gossips or gets into too much drama, bringing a "no drama llama" was not only a major ice breaker, but also something really clever that Grant definitely got a laugh out of.
6. Carolina: Introduced herself in Spanish
Carolina Quixano is a public relations producer who was born in Puerto Rico and for her first impression, she decided to do something completely different that showed a piece of who she is while really setting her apart from the rest of the contestants on season 29 of The Bachelor. When she met Grant Ellis, she spent almost her entire introduction speaking in Spanish and although Grant admitted that he didn't understand most of it, it clearly made an impression.
