According to The Ashley, Kody and Christine Brown have a December court date for their custody, paternity, and child support case regarding their youngest child together, Truley Brown, and unlike the rest of the drama in their breakup and lives beyond it, this won't be a feature of their show.
The Ashley confirmed that it was ruled by the courts that the court date can't legally be filmed, so while updates to their legal battle may be in a future episode of Sister Wives on TLC, the court proceedings themselves will not be filmed and can be attended virtually by both parties.
Why is Christine Brown Woolley suing her ex Kody Brown?
Christine Brown Woolley, using the name Christine Woolley, filed her court documents in September, The Ashley had previously exclusively reported, and is seeking child support and custody of their youngest child together as well as requiring that Kody Brown take a paternity test to confirm that Truely Brown is his biological child.
Christine Brown Woolley requiring that her ex take a paternity test does not mean that she's alleging any kind of infidelity, though. Fans of Sister Wives will remember that Kody Brown was only ever legally married to Meri and now to Robyn.
This means that when he and Christine had their six children together, he was not on the birth certificates and needs to be legally deemed Truely's father for the child support case.
The news comes just after Kody and Robyn bought a new $2 million home
Although this lawsuit has been in the works for some time now, the news that they were given a December court date comes just after it was revealed that Kody and his only remaining wife, Robyn, just purchased a brand new home -- and it came at a pretty penny.
Just when fans thought that Kody and Robyn were selling their old home in order to downsize and free up money to pay back what the two of them owe to Kody's ex, Janelle, it seems like that might not be the case.
According to Collider, the new home that Kody and Robyn purchased is double the size of the one they sold at over 7,000 square feet and sits on more land than the 2 acres that they had at their old house.
This means it should be no surprise that Christine was all out of kind words for Kody, going as far as to call him a "deadbeat dad" on Radio Andy.
