The TLC Network is expanding its lineup of shows with a very famous family, following Oscar nominee Alec Baldwin, his wife Hilaria, and their seven kids. Yes, seven! It's a wonder how this family didn't already have a reality show. As reported by Deadline this week, the series' working title is The Baldwins.

So far, not too much is known about the show's format or exactly what it'll explore, but the logline reads: "Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have been making headlines since they were married nearly 12 years ago, which is somewhat of an understatement." The actor took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the news, announcing the show alongside Hilaria in a video. In the post, we see clips of their kids running around the house playing along with their cute dog, as Alec explains: "Home is the place we love to be the most."

“We’re inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs, the good, the bad, the wild, and the crazy,” Alec tells his followers in the video above.

The Baldwins have been married since 2012 after meeting at a restaurant in New York City where sparks flew. People Magazine reports Hilaria was familiar with Alec as an actor and had watched him in movies as a child. As an entrepreneur, Hilaria opened a yoga studio in 2009 called Yoga Vida and she's since worked as a correspondent on Extra and hosted multiple podcasts. The couple welcomed their first baby in 2013 and now have seven children together, with their youngest being born in Sept. 2022.

So far, the response to their new show has definitely been mixed. As the logline says, this couple has been in the headlines many times and not always with positive stories. Many of the comments on Alec's Instagram post poke fun at Hilaria's accent scandal, with one commenter writing: "Where did her Spanish accent go ?! Did she decide to drop the whole act after she was outed?" Of course, they're referring to the controversy in 2020 when people accused her of faking a Spanish accent and heritage. Hilaria spoke out on the allegations, explaining that she "was born in Boston and grew up spending time with my family between Massachusetts and Spain."

Alec is currently awaiting his trial for the 2021 shooting, in which he shot a gun that was meant to be used as a prop during filming on the set of Rust, accidentally killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza. A report from Deadline published in May says that the State v. Alexander Rae Baldwin trial will begin on July 9 and is expected to last around two weeks.

Prior to his marriage to Hilaria, Alec was married to Kim Basinger from 1993 to 2002, and they share one daughter together, 28-year-old Ireland Baldwin. The actor, now 66, is best known for roles in films like It's Complicated, The Departed, and Beetlejuice, as well as shows such as 30 Rock, Knots Landing, Friends, and Will & Grace. He's also memorably portrayed Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live.

There's no premiere date for The Baldwins yet, but we can expect it to come to TLC sometime in 2025.
