Bravo released a new preview for the upcoming episode of The Real Housewives of New York in which Erin Lichy asked a super personal question of her co-star, Rebecca Minkoff, about her belief in Scientology.

Rebecca Minkoff is a fashion designer who was raised in the Church of Scientology along with being Jewish. Because Scientology can be such a controversial belief system, it was no surprise that a lot of fans of The Real Housewives of New York had some questions about the fact that Rebecca MIknoff is not just a member of the Church of Scientology but is also balancing that with another religion.

Many fans have been waiting for someone to ask Rebecca Minkoff about Scientology and it looks like Erin Lichy has finally stepped up to do just that in the upcoming episode of RHONY. In a previous episode, Rebecca Minkoff had "no comment" to Brynn Whitfield about her belief system, but the new preview for the series looks like she might have had a change of heart.

In the preview for the new episode of The Real Housewives of New York, Erin Lichy and Rebecca Minkoff sit down for lunch and Erin Lichy asks if she can ask a "personal question" of Rebecca Minkoff about her beliefs. She asks, "How does it work being Jewish and a Scientologist?"

Rebecca Minkoff explained that the two belief systems fill two different roles in her life and that while Scientology has helped her with stress and communication, being Jewish is her religion. She said, "Being Jewish is my religion, obviously. And then the other one is really an applied philosophy that, like, when it gets rough, that’s where I can get tools to help me."

In a confessional, Rebecca Minkoff encouraged viewers that are curious about Scientology to go online or read a book about it, but she didn't seem open to just any book about the belief system.

When a producer suggested the book Going Clear by Lawrence Wright, a book that features testimonies from both current and ex-Scientologists and shares a history of the organization, Rebecca Minkoff didn't seem to approve. She said, "Don't read that book."

In her own confessional segment, Erin Lichy said that she knows "too much" about Scientology already, but made it clear that he wasn't trying to disrespect Rebecca Minkoff's belief system when she asked about it and just explained that she was trying to understand how Rebecca Minkoff can balance believing in both at once.

The Real Housewives of New York airs on Bravo at 9/8c, check out the preview for the upcoming discussion between Erin Lichy and Rebecca Minkoff below.
