Is Rachel Leviss coming back to Vanderpump Rules?
By Lacey Womack
Rachel Leviss may be done with her podcast, but there's speculation among Vanderpump Rules fans that she may not be stepping back from the spotlight as much as she implied. With the future of the show up in the air and cast members saying that the show needs one more farewell season, a comment from Rachel Leviss' podcat has fans thinking she might be coming back for closure on the last season.
Rachel Leviss was notably absent from season 11 of Vanderpump Rules following the Scandoval cheating scandal between her and Tom Sandoval, causing a dramatic breakup between him and Ariana Madix.
After taking some time away for her mental health, Leviss returned to the internet to announce she was starting a podcast (and stopped going by Raquel) in which she told "her side" of the Scandoval scandal.
Her podcast, originally titled Rachel Goes Rogue concluded with the end of season 11 of Vanderpump Rules and she announced that she was stepping back from the spotlight... Or so fans thought. It was announced that the podcast was going to be renamed to Going Rogue and her publicist, Juliette Harris, was going to be the new host of the podcast instead of letting it go entirely dormant.
"I’ve made the decision to take both feet out of the Vanderpump Rules universe and focus on myself. Focus on my life, my healing," Rachel said as her reason for leaving her podcast, but she's not entirely out of the Vanderpump Rules universe -- she has an ongoing lawsuit against Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval.
The lawsuit and her goodbye message on her podcast make it unlikely that she'll be returning to the show, but a comment made by her publicist has people wondering.
During an interview on The Sarah Fraser Show, the host mentioned the rumors to Rachel Leviss' publicist and the new host of her podcast, Juliette, "The rumor is that you’ve taken over her podcast because she’s coming back for Season 12 because this is supposed to be the finale.”
After a pause, Juliette told the host that she was going to have to "think about that" and then continued by saying, "Not for the reasons you’re probably thinking. But I think the way I will answer that is we will have to let Rachel address that. But what I will say is the reason I stepped in is because she wanted to move away from the podcast."
It would be a major surprise if Rachel Leviss returned for the next season of Vanderpump Rules -- assuming that it comes back for another season -- but as Sarah Fraser pointed out, that answer wasn't an outright "no."
