In 2024, Bravo announced a new show: Making It in Manhattan. According to the network, Making It in Manhattan is going to follow a selection of Real Housewives children, including RHONJ star Teresa Giudice's daughter, Gia Giudice.
The press release shared by Bravo when they announced Making It in Manhattan described the show as such: "While some hail from the spotlight of well-known families, others have created a legacy of their own, but they all are looking to thrive in the city that never sleeps. Together they will challenge societal norms, redefine success, juggle personal and romantic relationships and lean on each other for support in order to turn their skyline-high aspirations into reality."
Although Bravo has been pretty quiet with news about Making It in Manhattan since they announced the show about the next generation of Bravolebrities, Gia Giudice has shared an exciting update about the show.
Gia Giudice says Making It in Manhattan is not "as serious" as The Real Housewives
Along with RHONJ daughter Gia Giudice, Making It in Manhattan stars RHOSLC child Brooks Marks and RHOA kids Riley Burruss and Ariana Biermann, but don't expect it to be a younger version of The Real Housewives franchise.
According to Gia Giudice, who recently announced that she was starting her own podcast, her show is "a lot different" from The Real Housewives franchise. She spoke to Us Weekly about the upcoming show and also told the publication that a trailer would be releasing for the series "soon."
"It wasn't as serious as Housewives," she told the publication about filming the series. Bravo announced the new show in 2024 and although they haven't shared an official release date yet, the fact that Gia Giudice says that a trailer will be released "soon" makes it sound like the show might be coming out before 2025 is over.
According to Gia Giudice, the show will also feature her boyfriend, Christian Carmichael, who the RHONJ star has been dating since 2019. "We’re the same age, so we’ve really grown as a couple," she told Us Weekly about her relationship, who she first debuted on social media when the two of them attended prom together.
Even though this is Gia Giudice's first time being the focus of a reality show, she says that she's not nervous about being in the spotlight because of the fact that she grew up on RHONJ. She told Us Weekly the fact that she grew up in front of the Bravo cameras prepared her for this, saying, "I've been on Housewives my whole life. I grew up in the spotlight, and I've been through a lot throughout my life."
Unfortunately for fans of mom Teresa Giudice's show, Gia Giudice said that she doesn't know anything about when The Real Housewives of New Jersey will be coming back. Andy Cohen previously shared that there won't be any news about the series until at least the end of 2025 and it looks like the network is sticking to that plan.
Although she's not sure when (or if) Teresa Giudice will be gracing TV screens on The Real Housewives of New Jersey again, Gia Giudice said that she's looking forward to what 2025 has in store for her -- especially her new podcast.
"I'm super excited for everybody to hear it. I'm gonna have amazing guests on," she told Us Weekly about her new podcast, Casual Chaos, which released its first episode on Monday, March 24.
