Netflix has announced the eighth season of their hit dating reality series Love Is Blind. The series, which follows a group of singles that meet and make connections in separate "pods" without meeting each other until they've already built up a relationship started airing in 2020 and has aired a total of seven seasons on the streaming service so far.
With tons of drama and some successful relationships coming from the series, it's no surprise that fans can't get enough. Now, Netflix has announced that season 8 of Love Is Blind will be dropping on the most romantic day of the year: February 14.
Who is in the new season of Love Is Blind?
Season 8 of Love Is Blind has the biggest cast that Netflix has had in the series yet. With a total of 32 singles, the cast ranges in age from 26 to 43 and includes people from all walks of life, all coming together with the hopes of finding love in the pods.
Netflix released a full guide to the cast and introduced fans to everyone who will be on their screens this February. From the oldest single in the pods, Amanda, who says that she's looking for someone who can match her emotional maturity to Benji, the youngest single in the pods, who is a realtor that love to travel.
All the season 8 singles are based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota and three of the singles entering the pods for season 8 were introduced to fans during the Love Is Blind season 7 reunion.
When will season 8 of Love Is Blind be streaming on Netflix?
Love Is Blind is premiering on Netflix on Valentine's Day 2025, but Netflix isn't dropping the full season all at once this season. Although releasing an entire season of a show on release day used to be the go-to method of dropping content, a lot of streaming services have moved away from that in order to encourage fans to savor the content and Netflix is no different.
Love Is Blind will have the following release schedule when season 8 drops on Netflix: episodes 1-6 will release on February 14, episodes 7-9 will release on February 21, episodes 10 and 11 will release on February 28, and episode 12 will release on March 7.
How to get cast on Love Is Blind
Love Is Blind has been renewed by Netflix through season 10, which means that there are at least two more seasons of this reality dating series after season 8 airs -- but it's so popular that Netflix may decide to keep it around beyond season 10.
Singles that are interested in trying to find out if love really is blind are encouraged to submit a 1-minute video to Netflix's casting website. According to a statement given to PEOPLE by a casting director working for Kinetic Content, Netflix receives thousands of applications by hopeful fans that want to be cast on their different dating and other reality shows.
Because the show is focused on taking singles that are ready to take the next step in their life and get married to the person they meet on the show, the casting director that spoke to PEOPLE said that they're specifically looking for people who seem serious about marriage.
Despite the fact that marriage is the goal, even the singles that leave the show without finding their perfect match gain some value from the show, the casting director said. They told the publication, "For those who don’t find someone in the pods, they often learn so much about themselves that they find love shortly after."
