On December 12, TMZ reported that Vanderpump Rules' James Kennedy had been arresetd for domestic violence following RHOBH star Kathy Hilton's annual Christmas party.
According to TMZ's sources, James Kennedy was seen arguing with a woman and grabbing her, but that officers did not see any visible injuries on the woman. James Kennedy was reportedly arrested and released later on $20k bail.
According to one Bravo fan account on Instagram, James Kennedy has since lost at least one DJ gig following his arrest and it's not clear what further consequences the DJ and reality TV star will be seeing from his arrest.
Now, James Kennedy's exes Rachel Leviss and Kristen Doute have spoken out about his arrest and Nick Viall recalled seeing James Kennedy the night that he was arrested.
Rachel Leviss and Kristen Doute react to James Kennedy's arrest
Rachel Leviss, who was engaged to James Kennedy prior to his relationship with his current girlfriend Ally Lewber, shared a TMZ headline to her Instagram story that states that Ally Lewber is standing by her boyfriend's side and claiming that the whole arrest was nothing but a "misunderstanding."
In the Instagram story, Rachel Leviss recalls her own relationship with James Kennedy and says, "The amount of times I convinced myself that the abuse I endured by James Kennedy Georgiou was a 'misunderstanding' is sickening."
This isn't the first time that Rachel Leviss has accused James Kennedy of abusive behaviors.
In her lawsuit against Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix, Rachel Leviss refers to her ex-fiance as "a DJ prone to violent outbursts and grappling with long-standing substance abuse issues and emotional dysregulation" and says that he would regularly berate her, accuse her of cheating on him, and "act in a generally unhinged manner."
Kristen Doute, another ex-girlfriend of James Kennedy and former Vanderpump Rules star also spoke out about James Kennedy's arrest after the news broke.
Although she didn't share her own experience with him in her statement, the sentiment was clear. Like Rachel Leviss, Kristen Doute shared a screenshot of the headline about his arrest to her Instagram story and captioned it with a single word to sum up her feelings on the matter: "Finally."
Nick Viall says he saw James Kennedy before he was arrested
It seems like James Kennedy was having problems with multiple people the night of Kathy Hilton's Christmas party. According to The Bachelor alum Nick Viall, he had been "barking orders" at someone who he introduced to Nick Viall as his "best friend" and guest at the party.
On the December 12 episode of The Viall Files podcast, Nick Viall says that he happened to be watching James Kennedy at exactly the right moment to see him "barking orders" at his friend who he had brought as a guest to the party.
"James walks by, and then James turns around and he says to his friend -- I forgot his friend's name. Let's say his friend's name is Sam. And [James] goes, 'Sam! Hold this! Now.' ... And his friend just grabbed the drink and James kept walking," Nick Viall described the "insane" spectacle in the podcast episode and went on to say that he was surprised to see this only 10 minutes after James introduced this unidentified person as his "best friend."
Meanwhile, other attendees of the party reported that James Kennedy spent much of the evening by himself and seemed inebriated, but was "irritated and rude" during the times that he did interact with other partygoers, lending some credence to Nick Viall's story.
