American Horror Story actress Emma Roberts thinks her mother, Kelly Cunningham, should join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The actress told E! News that she believes her mother, Kelly Cunningham, has the perfect qualities to hold a diamond and appear on RHOBH.
“I want my mom to be on Housewives, but she said she doesn't have the personality for it," she told the outlet. “I said, ‘That's exactly what makes you have the personality for it. She just says it like it is!”
Emma, who is niece to Julia Roberts, revealed that her mother has been approached "in passing" by Bravo over the years, but joked that Kelly was "a hard get."
Emma isn’t quite ready to join the reality franchise herself but hasn’t entirely ruled it out in her future.
“I'm not married. I'm on my way, but I'm not a housewife yet," she said. She is currently engaged to Cody Johny. She also has four-year-old son, Rhodes, with former partner Garrett Hedlund. "I don't know. Maybe when I'm a little bit more mature.”
Emma is a notoriously big fan of Bravo reality television, telling the publication. “I need there to be 23 episodes a season, and I need them to shoot them faster because there's not enough."
“I need more, especially Beverly Hills and Salt Lake [City]. I can't. I'm addicted.”
Emma is the daughter of actor Eric Roberts, although they have a rocky relationship after he abandoned her as a child. “I had abandoned Kelly [Cunningham, Emma’s mother] when Emma was just seven months old,” Roberts wrote in his memoir Runaway Train: Or, the Story of My Life So Far.
Roberts started dating Cunningham in 1988 and the couple welcomed Emma in 1991. Emma is close to her mother and said she could “kiss the ground [her mother] walks on” after having her own child.
Cunningham would make a great housewife as she has a habit of spilling the beans when she shouldn’t. She revealed Emma’s pregnancy first and posted a photo of her grandson’s face before his mother intended.
“It was a disaster, and I found it all out on a plane so I couldn’t get to her – I couldn’t call her or attack her,” Emma said when she learned her mother had confirmed her pregnancy.
When the Scream Queens actress got engaged to Cody John, she announced it herself with the caption, “Putting this here before my mom tells everyone.” Kelly sounds like the perfect housewife, spilling all the Hollywood tea.
