Duck Dynasty originally aired on A&E from 2011 through 2017 for a total of 11 seasons following the Robertson family -- grandparents Phil and Kay and their children, Jase, Willie, and Jep, as well as several of Phil and Kay's grandchildren.

The show started out documenting the Robertson family running their outdoors business, Duck Commander, and it brought in a ton of viewers while it was airing. At its peak, Entertainment Weekly reports that the show had nearly 12 million viewers watching the show to see the quirky family's daily lives, the behind-the-scenes of their business, and all their adventures.

Since the show ended, the family has evolved and one of the grandchildren featured in the original series, Sadie Robertson, has become an influencer in her own right with a massive following on Instagram and YouTube and Sadie Robertson will be featured in the new reboot that A&E just announced, Duck Dynasty: The Revival.

She shared a video about the new reboot of her family's reality TV series on her YouTube channel onn the same day that A&E announced the show was coming. A&E has shared that the series will be premiering in the summer of 2025 and that the network has ordered a total of 20 episodes, making up a total of two seasons.

According to the network, the series will be released on a streaming service after each season, but they have yet to announce where the show will be streaming between seasons.

Willie and Korie Robertson, son and daughter-in-law of family patriarch Phil Robertson and stars of the original series, shared a statement with A&E about going back to the network and said, "Going back on A&E feels a little like going back home. We’re thankful for all who have followed along as our family has grown and expanded and can’t wait to get cameras rolling again on all our new adventures, or perhaps misadventures."

According to A&E, the new reboot of Duck Dynasty will be mostly focused on Willie and Korie and will focus more on their family life.

Since Duck Dynasty first started airing, the family has expanded, the grandkids have grown up and started their own families, and they've expanded far beyond their original business and the family's charm was what really got the show its loyal fanbase, so it makes sense that the new reboot of the show will be so focused on the family's life instead of just their business.

In their announcement for Duck Dynasty: The Revival: A&E said, "The new updated series will feature Willie and Korie Robertson, Miss Kay, Uncle Si and other favorite family members from the original hit show and will catch viewers up on the lives of the kids and teens the audience knows and loves: John Luke, Sadie, Will, Bella and Rebecca and their growing families."

Duck Dynasty: The Revival is set to air its first season sometime in summer 2025 on A&E.
