Brittany Cartwright says she doesn't think Jax Taylor has changed 'at all'

Vanderpump Rules and The Valley stars Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor announced that they were getting divorced in August 2024 and in the following month, Jax Taylor shared that he was checking himself into an inpatient rehab facility to work through his issues. Unfortunately, ex-wife Brittany Cartwright says she doesn't think he's changed "at all" since seeking help there.

Brittany Cartwright was a guest on Bravo's Hot Mic podcast and she got honest about her divorce from Jax Taylor, including his behavior while in rehab and why she thinks it's proof he hasn't changed, how she felt when their divorce was filed, and the fact that she caught him in her house with other women.

Brittany Cartwright says Jax Taylor sent "rage texts" from rehab

It's likely no surprise to Vanderpump Rules fans that Jax Taylor isn't a great guy, but it seems like those who know him best are saying that hasn't changed since he checked himself into rehab to work on his issues.

He shared that he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and PTSD while in rehab, but Brittany Cartwright says that his bad behavior continued while there and her best friend Zack Wickham implied that he's worse after finishing his treatment.

"I don't feel like he changed at all in those 30 days," Brittany Cartwright shared on the podcast, seemingly backing up what her bestie Zack Wickham said on X (formerly Twitter). "I'm sure it'll be on the show as well, but, you know, a lot of rage texting and stuff was still going on the entire time that he was in rehab."

According to Brittany Cartwright, Jax Taylor's behavior while in rehab was "eye-opening" and helped to solidify her decision that ending their marriage was the right one.

"If you're in therapy seven hours a day, and you're still finding time to call me names and cuss me out? And send me rage texts? Then you're obviously not ever gonna change," she said on the podcast.

Brittany Cartwright says she caught Jax Taylor with other women in her house

According to Brittany Cartwright, she and Jax Taylor agreed that while they were broken up and dating other people, the two of them would not have their new partners around the son they share together, Cruz. This is a pretty normal arrangement between divorced couples that have children, but she says that Jax Taylor might not have adhered to their agreement.

She said on the podcast that she's not sure whether or not he brought other women around Cruz, but said that she caught him with other women in her house twice. "He definitely had people at my house, cause I caught him both times."

She also admitted that Jax wasn't the only one to move on and that she had a fling with one of his friends.

"Why should I care? He never cared how he hurt my feelings for years," she said about finding one of Jax's friends hot and hooking up with him after their divorce was filed. But, beyond Jax's treatment of her, Brittany says she has other reasons not to feel guilty. "He hooked up with my friend. Let's all remember that."
