Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum and executive producer of Vanderpump Rules Lisa Vanderpump may be the namesake behind the latter show, but reports are saying that Bravo thinks it's time to phase her out of the show and move on to focus on the other cast members.

According to a source speaking to The U.S. Sun, Bravo is looking for ways to minimize the screentime given to Lisa Vanderpump in the next season of Vanderpump Rules in order to focus on other cast members and storylines instead.

For fans of Vanderpump Rules, this rumor likely isn't a surprise.

When Vanderpump Rules premiered, the show was focused on Lisa Vanderpump and the employees at her West Hollywood restaurant, SUR. But as the show evolved, cast members stopped working there as they developed their own careers as reality TV stars, some cast members even left the show and now, the show has evolved to something completely different.

The majority of the focus and media attention that Vanderpump Rules has gotten in the most recent seasons has been on the "Scandoval" cheating scandal that took place between stars Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, and former cast member Rachel (Raquel) Leviss.

For fans that have been watching Vanderpump Rules since the beginning, it's easy to see how the show has evolved into something completely different and many fans will likely understand why Bravo thinks it's time to move forward without the show's namesake.

According to Thea de Sousa, author of The Unofficial Vanderpump Rules Ultimate Trivia Book, speaking to The U.S. Sun, Bravo's decision to minimize Lisa Vanderpump's involvement with Vanderpump Rules has been a financial one.

She told the publication, "First of all her paycheck, [the] number that she adds to the show, second of all, her relevancy, with the cast having moved on from her restaurants. ... She's at like a guest star level now on Vanderpump. It's a lot less money."

She previously reported that Ariana Madix is making an alleged $600,000 per season, so Bravo looking for ways to cut costs in other parts of the cast doesn't sound completely unbelievable if her numbers are right.

But, a Bravo spokesperson spoke to The U.S. Sun and said that these allegations are completely untrue. They told the publication, "There is absolutely no truth to this reporting."

It's entirely possible that Lisa Vanderpump isn't going anywhere and Bravo doesn't want to "push her out" of the show as the source is claiming. Along with being one of the stars of the show, she's an executive producer, a business owner, and her new show Vanderpump Villa was renewed for a second season at Hulu, meaning she has a lot on her plate -- and she knows it.

"I spread myself thin, but once I’m there, I give my all," Lisa Vanderpump admitted to The U.S. Sun when asked about the fact that she's been appearing less and less as a cast member in Vanderpump Rules.

So far, there's no news on whether or not Vanderpump Rules will be returning for season 12 and there are a lot of accusations flying about why that may be -- many of which being financial, but Lala Kent was quick to shut those rumors down.

Whether or not the show will continue and what Lisa Vanderpump's role on it will be if it does remains to be seen, but viewers will be sure to tune in either way.
