Alexis Bellino was a friend of the housewives on the 18th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County and the season was majorly focused on her relationship with fellow housewife Shannon Beador's ex, John Janssen. Because she was the center of so much drama, there were questions among fans about whether or not she would be returning for season 19 and Alexis recently shared whether or not fans would be seeing her back on their screens next season.
On the December 19 episode of the Going Rogue podcast, Alexis Bellino sat down to discuss her season and what she felt went wrong with her return to the Bravo series that caused things to go so wrong for her and leave such a bad taste in the mouths of so many fans.
On whether or not she would be coming back for the 19th season of the long-running reality series, Alexis Bellino said it "did not come as a shock" that Bravo didn't ask her to return to the series. Alexis Bellino said that it was a hard conversation, but said that she wasn't exactly surprised not to be asked back to the next season.
On the podcast episode, she said, "I guess I wasn’t really prepared. I didn’t think contracts were coming out, like, I thought we had more time. It was a shock when the call came, but I was never shocked about that information."
Shannon Beador had recently said that the season, and in particular her proximity to Alexis Bellino and John Janssen while on the season, was so toxic for her that she wasn't planning to come back for the next season if Alexis Bellino was. Between Shannon Beador publicly planning to leave RHOC and the cast siding with Shannon throughout the season, it's likely no surprise to fans that Alexis wasn't asked back for the next season, either.
Despite expecting the news, Alexis said that it wasn't easy to hear that she wasn't being invited back to film next season, but it was an experience that she had gone through previously, so she knew how to handle the news.
"I mean nobody wants the rejection, and no one wants to [hear] you’re not asked back. But it already happened to me. It happened to me in season eight. I’ve been there, done that," she said on the podcast and said that it was a "relief" to know where she stands and what her future holds as far as RHOC goes.
It seems like Alexis is taking not just being fired once again from RHOC but also the fact that the cast was on Shannon's side in their feud in stride, though. Following the news that she wasn't invited back to the show, she shared photos of herself and her fiance, John Janssen, on her Instagram with a caption that says, "When one door closes, another one opens" and the Romans 8:28 bible verse.
