Meghan Markle, the actress who married Prince Harry and became the Duchess of Sussex, recently announced that she was releasing a brand new reality TV show through Netflix. The show, which will be premiering on the streaming service on March 5, 2025, just got a trailer and fans can't wait to see her return back to their screens.
What is With Love, Meghan about?
With Love, Meghan welcomes viewers into the home of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. According to Netflix, the series will feature the actress-turned-royal as she "invites friends and famous guests to a beautiful California estate, where she shares cooking, gardening and hosting tips."
The series, which is filmed in California, says that some of the guests that will be featured on the series include Mindy Kailing, Roy Choi, and a variety of famous chefs and other close celebrity friends of Meghan Markle.
Meghan Markle recently returned to Instagram and one of her first two videos posted to the platform was a promotion for her new show. In the caption of the post, Meghan Markle said that she's feeling grateful to Netflix and the crew that came along to help bring her show to life.
All eight episodes of the first season of With Love, Meghan will be available on Netflix on March 5, 2025.
Why did Meghan Markle quit acting?
Meghan Markle first rose to fame as an actress and gained notoriety on the show Suits, but when she married Prince Harry, she had to step out of the spotlight and quit acting.
This is because in order to be a member of the royal family, Meghan Markle had to follow a strict set of guidelines involving work and publicity that stopped her from taking on any roles in Hollywood, even if they were ones that she had prior to marrying into the royal family.
But, in 2020, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced that the two of them were going to be stepping back from the royal family and their duties as royals themselves. The two cited media intrusion into their lives, racist attacks toward Meghan, and a lack of support for them from the rest of the royal family.
In 2025, she returned to Instagram where she quickly netted a million followers with a cheerful video of herself celebrating the new year on the beach. Her return to her Instagram account and her cozy new Netflix series mark the next chapter in Meghan Markle's life with Prince Harry away from the royal family.
