Season 29 of The Bachelor is flying by. On March 17, the three remaining women competing for Grant Ellis' heart went to Secrets Tides Punta Cana for their Fantasy Suites date. After the Fantasy Suites, two of the women were given roses and Grant Ellis had to give a heartbreaking goodbye to one of the hopeful women that was trying to win him over.
What happened during the Fantasy Suites episode of The Bachelor, who did Grant Ellis decide to give a rose to, and who did he decide to send home? Keep reading to get the full scoop before The Bachelor finale airs March 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
1. Juliana's Fantasy Suite
During her Fantasy Suite date section of the March 17 episode of The Bachelor, Juliana and Grant were able to get deep and personal about their feelings for each other. Grant reassured Juliana about the fact that even though there were two other women left in the competition, he would have her on his mind throughout the week. Meanwhile, Juliana opened up about having been cheated on in the past, to which Grant told her, "Where somebody else messed up, I see treasure."
Before going to the Fantasy Suites, Grant told Juliana twice that he's falling in love with her and Juliana echoed the same sentiment when she said, "I really want Grant to be my person forever," and called accepting his invitation to the Fantasy Suite "a no-brainer."
2. Zoe's Fantasy Suite
During their yoga date, Grant and Zoe got a chance to get to know one another better, something that Zoe admitted that the two of them had missed out on through a lot of the season. After Grant opened up more about his own life prior to coming on The Bachelor, the two of them discussed their future and agreed that they were compatible on their timeline for wanting to have children together.
"I can very much see an engagement with Zoe," Grant Ellis told the cameras about his connection with Zoe. According to Zoe, she felt like she was able to connect with Grant Ellis during their yoga date and that their night in the Fantasy Suite together was "pivotal" to their relationship together.
3. Litia's Fantasy Suite
While Zoe and Grant were in agreement on their timeline for their future together, Grant admitted that Litia's timeline is a lot faster than he was hoping for -- something that likely stems from Litia's upbringing in the Mormon church, as she revealed during the hometown dates. "I always envisioned my partner and I enjoying life for a little while before taking that step," Grant revealed to the cameras during the episode.
Despite not agreeing on when they wanted to have children, Grant said that he admired Litia's maturity for one thing: choosing to be up front and open about the fact that she didn't want to be intimate in the Fantasy Suites with Grant while two other women were still in the competition. Before the two of them spent the night together, Grant told her, "I like the ground that you stand on and I know where your priorities are and I know what's important to you. It's what you are on the inside that I can see myself with you, I can see you as my wife because I do love you."
During a confessional later in the episode, Grant revealed that he actually wished he had waited longer to tell Litia he loved her. He told the cameras, "She's somebody who I want to spend every day with, but I also feel, maybe, you know, I should have waited a little longer."
Who was sent home on The Bachelor?
At the rose ceremony, Grant Ellis was still hung up on his feelings for Litia and said that he was feeling conflicted because he was in love with more than one woman simultaneously. After some debate, Grant Ellis decided to go with his heart about who he was sending home and who he would be keeping in the competition as his final two women.
Grant Ellis gave his first rose of the night to Litia, then he gave his last rose to Juliana, meaning that Zoe was sent home from the competition in week 7 of The Bachelor.
"Ultimately, Zoe and I weren't in a place to get married," Grant said about his decision not to give a rose to Zoe after the Fantasy Suites.
The season finale of The Bachelor season 29 airs March 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Tune in to see whether Grant Ellis chooses to propose to Juliana or Litia.
