Southern Charm: Jarrett 'JT' Thomas announces his departure from the show
By Lacey Womack
Bravo's Southern Charm season 10 is almost done filming, but it sounds like there will be an abrupt change to the cast during the season as Jarrett 'JT' Thomas took to his Instagram account to announce that he had informed Bravo he would be leaving Southern Charm and not finishing the remainder of what he had to film for the season.
"Yesterday I informed Bravo that I will not be participating in the 2-3 remaining green room interviews remaining before [season] airs 12/5," he wrote on the straightforward Instagram announcement sharing the news that he was leaving the show. "I no longer wish to participate in any ways moving forward with the TV show."
He finished his statement by saying this was all he would be saying "for now"tw and that he was going to be focused on healing "both physically and mentally" and referenced that he had been going through an exhausting year.
Whether this means that what JT had been going through was caught on the show or not is unclear, but it sounds like he had made the decision to leave very abruptly without even finishing what he needed to film for the rest of the season.
Considering the previous season ended on quite a sour note for JT, Austen Kroll, and Shep Rose, it's no surprise that fans were speculating about whether or not something happened between the three of them to cause JT's decision to leave.
Season 9 of Southern Charm was the first season JT appeared in and the season ended with JT Thomas confessing his feelings for Taylor Ann Green, the ex-girlfriend of Shep Rose who Austen Kroll had hooked up with.
After a physical fight was broken up by production, JT swore to Austen that he would never see him again and considering JT announced that he was leaving so suddenly with only a few interview segments left to film for season 10, it certainly sounds like something must have happened.
Viewers will have to wait until season 10 of Southern Charm premieres on Bravo on December 5 at 9/8c with the past 9 seasons streaming on Peacock for viewers to catch up on all the drama.
