TLC's Sister Wives has come a long way since the show started.

When the series first began airing, Kody Brown had three wives in his plural marriage and he was in the process of courting Robyn, his fourth and now only wife. Along with going through three breakups, it looks like Kody Brown has changed his tune on whether or not he thinks people should try plural marriage -- at least when it comes to his own kids.

Kody Brown shared his thoughts on his children trying out polygamy

On the most recent episode of Sister Wives, the Brown family discussed their thoughts on the children's future marriage arrangements and whether or not any of them might consider trying plural marriage as their parents did. Although some of the Brown children are already married and seem perfectly content with monogamy, there are still a few children still single but Kody doesn't seem to think plural marriage is in their future.

On the episode, he said, "I really wouldn’t care to have my daughters in plural marriage. I really don’t think any of my sons are interested in plural marriage, either."

Considering the fact that Kody's catchphrase was once about love being "multiplied," the fact that he's accepted that his kids seem to have a sour taste in their mouth about polygamy is pretty surprising. But, after they saw it not work out for their parents, it's no surprise that they might not be interested in trying it themselves.

In fact, two of his children, Mykelti and Gabe, previously spoke openly about not thinking that plural marriage is a good idea. Mykelit in specific said that she didn't feel like any of the wives got "what they needed" out of their marriage to Kody, leading to all but Robyn choosing to leave their marriage to him.

Robyn Brown doesn't seem to agree with Kody's views on plural marriage for their children

While it sounds like Kody Brown has accepted that his children aren't interested in becoming the next generation of Sister Wives stars, his final remaining wife, Robyn Brown, doesn't seem convinced.

During the episode of Sister Wives, she spoke to her two daughters about whether or not they would ever consider plural marriage and spoke about her own feelings on their decision during a confessional in the episode. The conversation and Robyn's confessional segment made it very obvious that Robyn is still holding onto the idea that her children might follow in her polygamist footsteps, even if Kody isn't.

"If Breanna got a testimony and felt like plural marriage was her choice, and that’s what she felt like was her path, I’d be like, okay. But if not, that’s okay, too. It’s absolutely okay," Robyn told the Sister Wives cameras during a confessional during the most recent episode of the series.

This came after Breanna told her mother that she was considering becoming more active in the church again and seeking out someone to date who shares her belief system, which may end up being someone who is looking for a plural marriage like her parents had.

Meanwhile, Robyn's older daughter, Aurora, said that she was feeling "conflicted" about the idea of being part of a plural marriage in the future and told her mother, "I don’t have the same call to it that you and Dad do and did."

In many episodes of Sister Wives since the Brown family's plural marriage has started falling apart, Robyn has seemed to be the only one trying to hold on to a relationship with Kody's exes and has repeatedly said that she doesn't think their problems were the result of plural marriage overall, so it's no surprise that she's more optimistic about the idea of her children following in her footsteps than Kody is.

Considering Gabe and Mykelti's previous comments and Breanna and Aurora's hesitation to try polygamy for themselves, it doesn't seem like any of the Brown children are going to be rushing to follow in their parents' footsteps.
