Sister Wives: Janelle Brown tells Meri Brown to 'protect' her part of Coyote Pass property
By Lacey Womack
PEOPLE has shared a new sneak peek for an upcoming episode of Sister Wives in which the property at Coyote Pass becomes a major focus of some conversations between two of Kody Brown's ex-wives.
The land at Coyote Pass' ownership is split up into four separate plots of land: one owned by Kody and Janelle; one owned by Kody, Janelle, and Meri; and two separate properties owned by Kody and Robyn.
This means that the only one that Meri has stake in is also partially owned by Janelle and Kody and during the sneak peek, Janelle is worried about what this might mean for Meri's financial future.
In a confessional, Janelle explained that the ownership of the property at Coyote Pass in Flagstaff, Arizona is complicated, but that Meri is a partial owner of one of the four divided up plots of land. She said, "Her name is only on one piece and it’s in conjunction with Kody and I, so if worst comes to worst and it’s sold, she probably won’t get a quarter."
"I’m going to suggest to you that you protect your interest in it as far as what you’re entitled to -- a quarter of it," Janelle is seen telling Meri in the sneak peek.
When Meri asks if she thinks that "protecting" what she owns is necessary and asks if the two of them can just watch out for each other, Janelle disagrees.
But in a confessional interview with just Meri, she doesn't believe that she needs to worry about Kody and his last remaining wife, Robyn Brown, potentially trying to sell the property in Flagstaff without Meri receiving her cut of the payment for it.
In the confessional, she says, "Would Kody and Robyn really go into this thinking, ‘Maybe we should get all of the property.’ I don’t think that they’re going to screw us over."
The property was originally purchased by all of the wives and Kody together in 2021 with the plans for each of them to build homes next to each other, but the plural marriage fell apart with only Robyn staying married to Kody.
As part of the breakup, Christine sold her portion of the land back to Kody, leaving only the other three wives and Kody as owners of the property.
What will end up happening with the property at Coyote Pass is unclear, but considering Kody and Robyn brown just bought a brand new house while in the midst of a legal battle with Christine Brown Woolley, it doesn't seem like the property is a priority for Kody and Robyn at the moment.
