It's no secret that ABC has found major success in The Bachelor and its many spin-offs, but according to Pascal Ibgui, one of the spin-offs needs to make a big change if it's going to be successful.

In an interview with Glamour, Pascal talked about his feelings behind choosing to eliminate himself from the running for Joan Vassos' heart and explained what he thinks is the biggest flaw behind The Golden Bachelorette and why the mature spin-off of the series needs to make a big change in order to be successful.

According to Pascal Ibgui, if ABC wants The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette to succeed, ABC needs to find widowed singles who live in the same cities and do seasons based on each city because otherwise, it'll be hard for the contestants to really see a future together when it means uprooting their lives to move to another city to be with their new partner.

"Chicago's got 13 million people. You tell me you can't find 25 widowed or divorced people in that age group? Because in my age, I want to wake up with somebody, I want go to bed with somebody. I want to take a walk with somebody. I don't want to get in a plane to go see somebody every two weeks."

"I have a business, I have real estate, I have my friends, I have my routine, I have my health club, I have my connection… I ain't going to move anywhere," he told Glamour after explaining that with the younger installments of the series, it's easy to expect the people who find love on the show to move to another city to start their new life.

Meanwhile, there are some fans who think that living in different cities wasn't the real problem for Pascal. Following his self-elimination from the season, many fans have called out the fact that Pascal didn't seem ready for committment and shouldn't have agreed to come on The Golden Bachelorette when he knew he wasn't looking for anything serious.

Whether or not Pascal's intentions for joining this season of The Golden Bachelorette were as ill-intended as fans seem to think, it's hard to deny that the business owner has a point when it comes to the distance between the cities of the contestants that often come on the show.

Pascal talked about his affinity for travel throughout this season of The Golden Bachelorette, but that didn't necessarily mean that he would be so quick to pack up his entire life to move from Chicago to Maryland -- and there's no telling whether or not Joan Vassos would want to make the move in the opposite direction, either.

Maybe ABC will take Pascal's advice to heart and someday, viewers will see a season of The Golden Bachelor: Chicago in which Pascal finds love in the windy city.
