Bravo fans were shocked when, on the December 30 episode of her podcast, Paige DeSorbo confirmed that she and Southern Charm star Craig Conover had called it quits on their long distance relationship. There had been rumors that the Summer House star and her boyfriend had been broken up for a few months, but those rumors were confirmed just before the new year and Paige DeSorbo said she had nothing but nice things to say about her ex.

Andy Cohen said he thinks success is to blame for Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover's breakup

On his SiriusXM radio show Andy Cohen Live, Andy Cohen shared his thoughts on the fact that Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover broke up and cited the fact that both of them have been so successful lately in their respective cities are one of the reasons that they likely called off their relationship.

"They are both in the middle of an incredible amount of success," Andy Cohen said on his radio show and made sure to specify again that he definitely meant both of the Bravolebrities were having a major moment in the spotlight, which is sure to put strain on any relationship. Andy Cohen then went on to talk about the fact that Craig Conover just opened a new bar in Charleston with his fellow Southern Charm star Austen Kroll and said that Paige DeSorbo is "absolutely murdering it, killing it" right now.

Unfortunately, Paige DeSorbo killing it in her career currently means being in New York City while Craig Conover has a number of ties to his own life in Charleston, South Carolina. The fact that the two of them spent their relationship with so much distance between them had to be hard on them and make seeing a serious future together when neither was able to move to live with the other hard.

The Bravo producer and host went on to cite the distance as another possible reason that the two of them could have called their relationship off. Andy Cohen said, "I was at the Southern Charm premiere party. She wasn't there at his place in New York. There have been a few events that she hasn't [been at]. She's just so busy and I just think the more and more that stuff starts to happen, you worry that it causes a strain."

Why did Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover break up?

Andy Cohen went on to say that the two of them still haven't shared a real reason for why they decided to go their separate ways, so there might be more news about their breakup in the future, but he said that everyone loved the two of them together and called them the "first couple of Bravo."

The two dated for three years and Paige DeSorbo said that their breakup was completely amicable and they had just changed throughout the course of their relationship and were no longer in a place where they saw a future together. According to the Summer House star, Craig Conover was the "best boyfriend" that she'd ever had.

On her podcast, she went on to explain their breakup by saying, "I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn't a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn't want, and I think that's extremely powerful to be able to voice how you're feeling in real-time and what you want for your future."

Following their breakup, Paige DeSorbo denied rumors that she had cheated on the Southern Charm star and even replied to a TikTok video saying that she would "see [the poster] in court" for the claims they made.

As of right now, Craig Conover has been silent about their breakup, but some details of their relationship have been featured on the current season of Southern Charm, so it's possible that the lead up to their breakup might be featured in the current season.

Southern Charm airs on Bravo at 8 p.m. ET on Thursdays and Summer House will be returning to Bravo for season 9 on February 12 at 9 p.m. ET.
