'I didn’t have to take it that far': Kenya Moore speaks about scandal that lead to RHOA suspension
By Lacey Womack
Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore appeared on The Tamron Hall Show on the daytime talk show's November 14 episode and for the first time, opened up about the explicit photo scandal that lead to her suspension from the Bravo reality series.
Kenya Moore was removed from The Real Housewives of Atlanta's season 16 cast in June after explicit images of Brittany Eady were allegedly displayed as posters at her Kenya Moore Hair Spa grand opening, an apparently filmed event.
When it first took place, Kenya Moore denied the accusations and cryptically shared an Instagram story, telling her fans to "believe none of what you hear and half of what you see" and that "the truth always comes to light."
Now, Kenya Moore has spoken publicly for the first time about the incident and shared where her relationship with Bravo stands after her indefinite suspension from RHOA.
Although Kenya Moore said the rumors that she was coming back to the show are "wishful thinking" from her fans, she shared that she is allegedly still an employee of Bravo and still receiving checks from the network. She told the talk show host, "I am still under contract, and I am still an employee of the network."
In addition, Kenya shared that Bravo was "never under investigation" after the incident, despite what some headlines reported. Bravo told Page Six in a statement, "We take all allegations of violations of our policies seriously, reviewed the matter and took appropriate action."
According to Kenya Moore, she felt "threatened" during a verbal altercation that she got into with the RHOA newcomer and that fight escalated to the point of her displaying the explicit poster of Brittany Eady at her grand opening. On the talk show, Kenya Moore claimed that even though she had found "a lot" of images of her co-star, she chose to only put one of them on display at the event.
Looking back on the situation, Kenya Moore says that she regrets taking things so far and that she realizes now it was a mistake that she wouldn't make again if she could have a second chance. She said, "If I could do it all over again, I believe the photos were very distasteful, and I elevated the situation. I’ve elevated situations before, and I’ve taken full accountability for the things that I’ve done."
Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is scheduled to premiere in 2025. Watch Kenya Moore's full appearance on The Tamron Hall Show below.
