On April 14th, Taylor Ann Green announced her departure from Southern Charm after five years. She made her debut in season 7 as Shep Rose’s girlfriend. The pair remained friendly on the show, despite splitting after two years together.
Taylor emotionally posted her exit on Instagram. "Hi everyone! A bittersweet announcement, but after a lot of conversations and thought this past year, it is with a heavy but peaceful heart to announce that I will be stepping away from Southern Charm next year.”
Taylor called her journey on the Bravo reality show a “wild roller coaster but an incredible one to say the least.”
Her personal life came to the forefront of the show when, in season 9, she lied about kissing Austen after he dated her then-BFF Olivia Flowers. Taylor called that lie her worst moment on the show.
“My biggest regret is the coffee shop scene and not telling Olivia the truth right away,” she told PEOPLE ahead of season 10’s premiere.
“But I definitely hope to see that there are some moments [this season] where people can see that what happened last year was a mistake — it's not who I am — and see a different side of me.”
Taylor is the second cast member to step away from the reality TV show after season 10. Leva Bonaparte also announced her exit from Southern Charm, so she could be a “full force” on Southern Hospitality.
What's Next For Taylor Ann Green after Southern Charm?
Taylor Ann Green is using her exit from Southern Charm to focus on her athleisure line, Reset Athletic. She explained that this clothing line has helped her push the “reset button” in her life.
“After leaving my job and the breakup and losing a friend, losing my brother, I feel like I couldn't find my feet,” she said. Her brother passed away in the summer of 2023 aged just 36.
"Feeling like I was in such a rut, I found myself waiting for things to come to me and talking with my therapist and saying ‘I don't feel normal, and I know I'm grieving a lot, but I want to get back to normal.’ So finding this and has been really, really great because I'm starting to feel normal again. It feels really good to be busy and have something day-to-day, things to keep me accountable. I'm excited for it."
She continues to date Southern Hospitality star Gaston Rojas. Speaking about their romance on Season 10 of Southern Charm, Taylor explained, "We were friends, and then we went on an accidental date."
"Every decision that he makes, I’m priority," she explained to PEOPLE in December 2024. "I take precedence and I’m always like, 'I really appreciate that. I want you to do what you want to do. But I appreciate that because I’ve never had that in any of my relationships.' It’s nice to have that feeling like I’m important in his life."
