Jordan Wiseley took to Instagram to express his frustrations about the conditions on the set of The Challenge Season 40, describing the environment as one of the worst the cast had ever experienced.

“I’m not exaggerating,” he wrote. “This one was by far the worst treatment we’ve ever received as a cast, and it’s taken a toll.”

Jordan’s post has sparked responses from fellow contestants, including some competing on Season 40. Rachel Robinson, representing Era 1, responded to questions on X about Jordan’s comments.

She highlighted the privileges the cast enjoys, such as three large catered meals and attentive production assistants. “Yes, there are wait times and things don’t happen immediately, but again, it’s The Challenge, and we had 40 people. So 🤐 #realtalk,” she wrote.

In a follow-up, Rachel added, “If you can’t hang, it ain’t for you. Bye.”

Some contestants seemingly agree with Jordan’s claims about Season 40 of The Challenge

Ryan Kehoe, part of Era 2, seemed to echo sentiments from both sides. “Season 40 was probably the most challenging season I’ve ever done,” he shared. “But we also know what we’re signing up for. So if you can’t take the heat, get off the season, I say.”

Theo Campbell of Era 4 shared his experience, stating he lost 23 pounds during filming and never received properly fitting shoes. “It was a great show, even though we got treated like absolute dogs,” Theo commented in a video shared by Olivia Kaiser.

In the same post, Jordan elaborated on the conditions in the Challenge house. “Most people think that we come into a Challenge house and we just work out all the time and turn into savages. No, the entire time you’re there, you are losing shape. We are treated poorly; we sleep poorly; we are fed poorly; our schedules are hectic, with 20-hour days being normal. So, we just lose shape. It doesn’t matter how long you’re there; you’ll come out feeling down and looking worse.”

The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras premieres on August 14 on MTV.
