RHOBH newbie Jennifer Tilly reveals what it is really like joining Season 14

Diving into the chaos of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for its fourteenth season, Jennifer Tilly revealed what it was really like joining the show. She humorously remarked on the It Happened in Hollywood podcast that appearing on RHOBH was akin to her eerie roles on the big screen.

“Oh my God, it's insane. It's, like, scarier than Chucky. I'll tell you that," she expressed.

Unlike the full-time divas of Beverly Hills, Jennifer said she enjoyed a less encumbered role. 

Describing herself as a "Friend" of the show, she gets to weave in and out of the drama more freely, dodging the occasional thrown drink with her quick reflexes. The first day of filming saw Jennifer at a spa in Hancock Park, where she was involved in a scene trying to soothe an upset Kyle Richards alongside Dorit Kemsley and Erika Girardi. 

Yet, Jennifer found her stride filming with Sutton Stracke at Garcelle Beauvais's beach house in Oxnard, marking a more enjoyable experience. Throughout her varied career, Jennifer has formed lasting relationships, notably with Sutton, hinting at a deep integration into the show's social threads.

Jennifer Tilly reveals what it’s like outside of RHOBH

On the personal side, Jennifer has led a vibrant life filled with notable relationships and professional milestones. 

Married to Sam Simon, co-developer of The Simpsons, from 1984 until 1991, they remained close until his untimely demise in 2015 due to colorectal cancer. From this relationship, Jennifer still benefits financially, receiving a significant portion of the proceeds from the ever-popular animated series.

In a lighter moment during the podcast, Jennifer was joined by Gina Gershon, her co-star from the 1996 cult classic Bound. 

Gina, reflecting on Jennifer's new venture into reality TV, said: "You know what? You're gonna be genius on that. You’ll take over that whole set, Jen. I have no doubt. I'd actually even watch it with you on it!" This endorsement highlights the unique charisma Jennifer is expected to bring to RHOBH, potentially captivating an audience beyond the regular viewership.

As Jennifer continues her longstanding relationship with professional poker player Phil Laak since 2004, her life off-screen is as eventful and engaging as her on-screen appearances.
