Controversial actor Mickey Rourke has been removed from the Celebrity Big Brother UK house after drawing significant pushback from fans that felt he went too far with his comments toward Dance Mom star JoJo Siwa.

To see everything we know about Mickey Rourke's departure from CBB UK (and find out why an actress said working with him was her "worst" experience in Hollywood), keep reading!

Why was Mickey Rourke kicked off Celebrity Big Brother UK?

Mickey Rourke wasn't in the Celebrity Big Brother UK house long before he started stirring up problems. In the April 9 episode of the reality TV show, he approached Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa and asked if she likes girls or boys. JoJo Siwa, who publicly identifies as a lesbian, responded by saying that she is into women and that her partner identifies as non-binary.

"If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore," Mickey Rourke told her and started his controversial stint on the series.

He continued by saying that he wanted to "vote out the lesbian," which got pushback from the other housemates who told him that he couldn't vote her out specifically due to her sexuality. Despite these issues, he went on to use a homophobic slur against JoJo Siwa, which lead to him being given a formal warning by Big Brother.

Following the use of the homophobic slur, Big Brother had a frank discussion with Mickey Rourke about whether or not he understood why what he said went against the rules given to him when he entered the house and said that his behavior was "offensive and unacceptable."

After being told that he was given a formal warning by the house, Mickey Rourke said, "I apologize. I don’t have dishonorable intentions - I’m just talking smack, you know."

Unfortunately for the actor, it doesn't seem like he learned his lesson. According to The Independent, Mickey Rourke had another issue with Chris Hughes that lead to his removal from the house. The publication said that this altercation will be shown on the April 13 episode of Celebrity Big Brother UK.

It seems like whatever happened between Mickey Rourke and Chris Hughes was the final straw in a long line of bad behavior from the actor that lead to the production team making the decision to remove him from the house.

A statement given to The Independent by Big Brother and ITV reads: "All Housemates receive Respect and Inclusion training and an extensive briefing from the Big Brother Senior team to prepare them for living in the House and to set out Big Brother’s expectation for appropriate behaviour and language. Housemates are monitored 24 hours a day and instances of inappropriate behaviour are dealt with appropriately and timely.” Rourke’s representatives declined to comment."

Bella Thorne shared her "gross" story of working with Mickey Rourke

Following Mickey Rourke's bad behavior on CBB UK coming to light, former Disney Channel actress Bella Thorne took to X (formerly Twitter) to share hwe own stories of working with Mickey Rourke and explained why it was her "worst" experience as an actress.

The pair were in the 2020 thriller Girl together and according to Bella Thorne, Mickey Rourke was unprofessional and crossed some serious boundaries while filming.

In a post shared to her social media accounts, Bella Thorne recalled an incident that left her covered in bruises and wrote, "I had to work with [Mickey Rourke] – in a scene where I’m on my knees with my hands zip-tied around my back. He’s supposed to take a metal grinder to my knee cap and instead he used it on my genitals thru my jeans. Hitting them over and over again."

She went on to say that she was forced to go to his trailer alone and "beg" him to come finish filming because he refused to speak to anyone else and was refusing to cooperate with the production team, nearly leading to them being forced to scrap the movie as a whole.

Despite the issues she aired out about Mickey Rourke, Bella Thorne went on to say that she was proud of the movie. The actress made sure to shine a positive light on all the hard work that the rest of the cast and crew put into the production and refused to allow Mickey Rourke's bad behavior and unprofessionalism to tarnish the experience as a whole.
