Bravo fans have already heard the rumors about The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, but it looks like there might be another upcoming show being added to the lineup.

In 2024, producer Andy Cohen said that the network didn't have any immediate plans for another city to add to the Real Housewives lineup, but said to "stay tuned" because anything could happen on the network and it looks like something could be happening sooner than fans had expected.

Why do fans think The Real Housewives of Seattle is coming?

An Instagram account dedicated to Bravo news and rumors shared a roundup of shows that have been announced, rumored, and put into development and included one brand new name in their lineup: The Real Housewives of Seattle.

According to the post, an anonymous follower submitted a tip that someone close to them is a party planner in Seattle who recently organized an event for one of the cast members that is filming the test episodes for The Real Housewives of Seattle.

Since this is an anonymous tip, it's hard to say whether or not there's any truth to the rumor. And since many Bravo shows have started out under a completely different name or premise before the production company creating the show sold it to Bravo, it's hard to tell whether or not someone filming a test pilot would actually be able to say that they were filming the next Real Housewives franchise in a brand new city.

But, Bravo has history with Seattle that makes fans think The Real Housewives of Seattle rumors seem plausible.

This isn't the first time Bravo has had their eyes on Seattle

All the way back in 2011, Shari Levine, executive producer of several Real Housewives franchises, was asked about a possible Real Housewives of Seattle.

"Seattle is always a possibility, but we haven't found the right group there," Shari Levine, who was senior vice president of production at Bravo at the time, told Seattle Met in their August 2011 publication.

By 2011, Bravo's Real Housewives franchise was well-seated in pop culture with The Real Housewives of Orange County having been airing for five years,

The Real Housewives of Miami premiering earlier that year, and RHONY, RHOA, RHONJ, RHODC, and RHOBH having all made their debuts on the network in the years in between. So it's no surprise that Bravo was looking for affluent women to showcase their wealth on another franchise and capitalize on the popularity that the show already had.

In the August 2011 edition of Seattle Met, Carly Chillmon of Seattle University was asked about the possibility of whether or not The Real Housewives of Seattle would work and her opinion was that Bravo should look at another Washington city instead of Seattle.

"Based on the demographics, I would suggest a Real Housewives of Bellevue over Seattle," Carly Chillmon told the publication, citing the fact that Bellevue overall had more wealth and luxury to showcase on TV than Seattle.

But in the 14 years since Bravo first said they were considering Seattle, the city has grown and it's possible that they've finally found "the right group" to showcase on a brand new Real Housewives franchise.
