Jordan Wiseley, a celebrated veteran of The Challenge, recently voiced his concerns about the conditions during the filming of the show's 40th season, The Challenge: Battle of the Eras

His insights come from first-hand experiences, which he shared with his followers in a candid video posted on Instagram on July 14. In his video, Jordan explained how the living conditions in The Challenge house were far from ideal.

He even went as far as to label it as one of the most challenging environments he's encountered.

In his social media update, Jordan highlighted the subpar treatment the cast received, describing it as the worst in his experience with the show.

"This one was by far the worst treatment we’ve ever received as a cast and it’s taken a toll," he mentioned in his post, suggesting deeper issues that affected the team's morale and physical readiness.

Further expanding on the tough conditions behind the scenes, Jordan detailed in his video how the environment was detrimental to their fitness levels.

“Most people think we go in The Challenge house and we just work out all the time and turn into savages. No. The entire time you’re there, you’re losing shape,” he stated. According to him, the poor treatment extended to their sleep, nutrition, and overall schedule, all of which were less than satisfactory.

Jordan Wiseley’s The Challenge co-stars back up his statement

Jordan’s sentiments were echoed by several of his co-stars from Battle of the Eras.

Kyland Young, another participant on The Challenge, revealed his significant weight and strength loss due to the conditions. Similarly, Theo Campbell shared his plight of not having properly fitting shoes throughout the show.

Theo emphasized the discomfort and challenges faced. “I lost 23lbs,” he disclosed, highlighting the physical toll it took on him.

Total Madness finalist Bayleigh Dayton and eight-time competitor Laurel Stucky also supported Jordan’s claims. Laurel starkly summarized the experience: “WE DECAY.”

This chorus of disapproval from the cast paints a stark picture of the reality behind the competitive facade of the show. It also lends some credence to Jordan’s claims in his video.

As of now, MTV has not made any official response to the criticisms laid out by Jordan and his fellow competitors. With the season premiere looming, the issues raised by these veterans of The Challenge cast a shadow on what is meant to be a landmark season.

The Challenge: Battle of the Eras is set to premiere August 14 on MTV.
