As the 18th season of RHOC began, Tamra Judge revealed that Sidney, now 24, has started reconnecting with her siblings, which Tamra sees as a positive step forward. The reality TV star, who has three other children—Spencer, 23; Sophia, 18; and Ryan, 38—from previous marriages, expressed a cautious optimism about the progress in her family dynamics.

The backstory of their estrangement is rooted in family turmoil and it’s something that hasn’t fully healed.

During the 2016 RHOC Season 11 reunion, an emotional Tamra disclosed to host Andy Cohen and her co-stars that Sidney had decided to live with her father, Simon Barney. This happened following their acrimonious divorce, which only made the situation more complicated.

Sidney had harshly criticized Tamra at the time and accused her of ruining her father's life and abruptly cut off contact. This left a deep rift between them that hasn’t completely closed.

Despite the ongoing distance, Tamra remains hopeful about mending her relationship with Sidney in the future.

RHOC star Tamra Judge hopes to reconcile with her daughter Sidney

During a recent episode of the Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, the RHOC star said she admires her daughter’s achievements from afar.

In particular, Tamra was pleased by her success in the film industry behind the camera. Overwhelmed with mixed emotions, Tamra stated: "She's doing amazing and—without crying, guys—that's all I can wish for as a mom."

However, she confessed that her ultimate hope is for a future reconciliation and acknowledged that any resolution must happen in its own time.

Tamra's longing for Sidney's return was poignantly highlighted in the recent RHOC premiere. In the episode, she discussed her constant wishes for Sidney's return every time she sees the number 111—a sequence she considers an angel number.

This led to her decision to get it tattooed as a symbol of her hope. During the show, she recognized the sensitivity of the topic for her younger daughter, Sophia, who prefers not to discuss it, yet still offered her mother support.

Further complicating matters is Tamra's unique bond with Sophia, who recently resumed appearing on RHOC after a break due to her father's reluctance to allow her participation.

Sidney hasn’t shared her thoughts about reuniting with her estranged mother.

New episodes of the Real Housewives of Orange County air Thursday nights on Bravo.
