Big Brother is gearing up for some big changes in its 26th season.

Host Julie Chen Moonves has been stirring up excitement with posts on social media. Her teasers have highlighted a significant shift this season with the introduction of a brand new theme.

This year, the game will be influenced heavily by technology, as revealed in a series of cryptic messages and visuals Julie shared on Instagram over the past few weeks. With her teases, she set the stage for a season that promises to uphold the show’s mantra to “expect the unexpected.”

The big reveal that has everyone talking is the incorporation of artificial intelligence into the show’s format, dubbed Big Brother Artificial Intelligence or BB AI. This innovative approach will be central to the season, affecting everything from tasks to the overall living environment in the Big Brother house.

This theme was officially announced via a collaborative Instagram post that featured a teaser video. The post showcased the tech-enhanced décor of the house, which will play a pivotal role in this season’s challenges and strategies.

Inside the AI-Enhanced House on Big Brother

This season, the Big Brother house itself is a testament to the futuristic theme, with each room designed to reflect different aspects of artificial intelligence. The Head of Household (HOH) room has been transformed into a "refreshing retreat," complete with multiple blue sofas that offer a strategic spot for the occupants to plan their next moves.

The decor here is sleek and modern, emphasizing a calm yet authoritative atmosphere.

In stark contrast, the bedrooms showcase more whimsical and adventurous designs. One bedroom is envisioned as a futuristic abode from the year 2500, featuring beds at varying heights and stark, metallic colors that give it a cutting-edge feel.

Another room takes a fantasy approach, designed like a fairy garden with pink and purple bedding, forest-inspired wallpaper, and a green carpet that mimics a mossy forest floor, providing a magical escape within the high-tech world.

Perhaps the most unique is the third bedroom, inspired by a sci-fi rocky planet. The beds appear to be suspended in the air, with a cloud-like floor adding to the illusion of floating in space. This creative and immersive design adds an element of fun and wonder to the living quarters.

The communal areas of the house, like the lounge and kitchen, also stick to the theme. The lounge features a small aquarium and a chess board, symbolizing strategic thinking and calmness amidst the surrounding chaos. The kitchen is spacious with an extended island and a large table that gradually gets smaller as the season progresses, mirroring the decreasing number of contestants.

The new season of Big Brother premieres July 17 on CBS.
